ELNG is already assisting the community in its focus areas:

• Environment:
o Funding environmental projects in 10 Idku schools

• Education:
o Designing and implementing a road safety campaign for Idku city. Every child in Idku received a road safety pack and 5,000 attended road safety shows.
o Providing Computers to schools and adult education centers

o Providing teaching equipment and library resources to Idku nurse training school
o Providing water treatment equipment to the Idku hospital dialysis unit
o Providing Intensive Care Training to Idku Nurses and Doctors.

• Youth:
o Construction of an Idku Community Centre with hard playing surface.
Additionally, as part of supplying water to the LNG plant, ELNG has taken the opportunity to upgrade the water infrastructure in the Idku area so that local communities will have improved water supply.
