Ongoing Public Consultation: Ongoing meetings are held with the local community and their leaders. These meetings are two-way dialog, recent examples include meetings with the fishermen and their representatives to determine how marine procedures could be designed to minimise impact upon fishermen.

Delivering an HSE Culture   

The health and safety of employees and neighbours, the protection of the environment and the maintenance of asset integrity are of paramount importance to Egyptian LNG.

Management takes full responsibility for allocating sufficient resources to develop, operate and maintain an effective HSE Management System. Management and staff take personal interest in ensuring that the HSE Policy is properly implemented.

State of the art processes were used throughout the plant design phase to ensure that risks are as low as possible. Monthly monitoring of environmental conditions is carries out to ensure compliance with Egyptian and International standards.

Egyptian LNG Community Engagement Strategy

Egyptian LNG is a socially responsible business and a good neighbour. As an active member of the community, Egyptian LNG will seek out ways to help the local communities develop. Our community assistance programme will focus on environmental, education, medical and youth themes.

Assistance programmes will be developed by engagement with the local communities so we can understand their aspirations and concerns. Egyptian LNG will maintain close relationships with the Behera Governor and Idku Mayor and Council.
