Accountabilities
1. Prepare all documentations and represent the Company in any legal suits as well as to manage litigation matters that are handled by external counsels.
2. Advise the relevant parties on legal feasibility of any proposed arrangements, examining all legal aspects of the arrangement (including but not limited to assessing the Company’s legal exposure and the necessary mitigation measures) and documents thereof, and giving views in decision making involving all issues concerning the Plant and Shipping operation, and other related matters to ensure efficient and smooth business operation.
3. Assist Legal Manager to ensuring that that ELNG complies with all legislation relevant to the Companies or their operations;
4. Advise HR Department any legal issues concerning contract of employment, penalty policies, staff regulations and all other items required under Egyptian Law for ELNG direct hire staff and to deal with any matters of employment law which may arise within ELNG;
Job Requirements
1. Qualified degree from recognised Law School
2. From 5 to 10 years practising as a lawyer with a legal firm or as an in-house counsel in a multi-national company.
3. Experience in:
- Tenders and Contracts
- Construction Contracts and Commercial Contracts
- Company Law and its procedures as well as general corporate
- experience in oil and gas contracts is desirable
- Employment issues
- Negotiating, drafting and interpreting complex legal arrangements (different tax, investment regimes etc).
- Litigation Management
- Commercial and Company law experience
- Labour law compliance
- Environment laws compliance
